What is the best fuel to burn on a multi-fuel stove?

We have a number of fuels suitable for use on multi-fuel stoves, Excel and Red smokeless are two of the best, however depending on the manufacturers instructions House Coal can also be used. Anthracite is another suitable, but this needs more airflow and is harder to burn than the others.

What is the best fuel to burn on an open fire?

The best smokeless fuel is Excel, house coal is a very good alternative depending if you are in a smoke control zone.
